Flight 576 of Aeromexico, flying from Cancun to Mexico City carryng 104 passsenger was hijacked by a single person demanding to speak directly to President Calderon. The situation is under control, all passengers and crew has been liberated and the hijacker is now under custody.
Federal Police depicted this individual, a Bolivian citizen, as a person affected of his mind and under the influence of narcotics. Genaro Garcia Luna, the secretary for public security, told reporters that the suspect told authorities he hijacked the jet because the date -- September 9, 2009, or 9/9/9 -- held some significance for him.
